摘要The pressure-induced shifts of optical spectral bands (4)T(2) and (2)E for the preferential Cr(3+)-centered octahedron for Cr(3+) at the Sc(3+) site of the LiSc(WO(4))(2) crystal have been calculated from crystal-field theory. From the calculation, the local linear compressibility d ln R/dp approximate to -3.3 X 10(-4)kbar(-1) for the Cr(3+) center in a LiSc(WO(4))(2) crystal is obtained. The result is discussed.
