Current-induced mechanical torsion of a magnetic nanowire

摘要The effect of current-induced mechanical torsion in a ferromagnetic nanowire is investigated. The applied current transfers angular momentums of conductive electrons to the domain wall and leads to elastic rotation of the nanowire, which has the same physical essence as the Einstein-de Haas effect owing to the conservation of angular momentum. The as-induced strain in static state is calculated and the mechanical torsion vibration in the dynamic state may be useful for developing nanomotor devices.
