A structure determination for (Sr,Nd)(3)Cu2O5 by HREM

AbstractA new phase is found to be intergrown with the infinite-layer (IL) superconducting (Sr,Nd)CuO2 phase under high pressure. The crystal structure of the new phase is determined by high resolution electron microscopy (HREM). The result reveals that it is a C-centered orthorhombic phase with the chemical formula (Sr,Nd)(3)Cu2O5 and the lattice parameters are a = 3.94 Angstrom, b = 19.5 Angstrom and c = 3.40 Angstrom.
