Oxidation behavior of NiAl-30.9Cr-3Mo-0.1Dy alloy at high temperature

摘要The isothermal oxidation behavior of NiAl-30.9Cr-Wo-0.1Dy alloy at temperature range of 1300 K similar to 1500 K in air atmosphere has been investigated in this paper. The results reveal that the oxidation resistance is much better than that of NiAl-31Cr-3Mo alloy and the adherence of Al2O3 film can greatly improved due to the formation of continuous and dense layer of Al2O3 formed on the surface of NiAl-30.9Cr-Wo-0.1Dy alloy and the formation of Cr layer between Al2O3 and substrate. The kinetics of isothermal oxidation of NiAl-30.9Cr-Wo-0.1Dy alloy obeys a parabolic rule at 1500 K, and follows the quintic equation at 1300 K and the cubic relation at 1350 K similar to 1450 K. The small amount of Dy doped in NiAl-31Cr-3Mo alloy retards the. transformation of theta-Al2O3 phase into alpha-Al2O3 phase, and decreases the amount of Al2O3 on NiAl phase. The mechanism of oxidation has been also discussed.
