Finite element analysis on compressive property of new porous magnesium

摘要The finite element method (FEM) was applied to analyze the influences of porosity, pore size and pores arrangement on the compressive behavior of a straight pore-type porous magnesium fabricated by laser perforation technique. The deformation law of porous magnesium in the process of compression was discussed. It was found from the simulated results that as increase of porosity and pore size, and decrease of pores arrangement angle, the compressive curves of the porous magnesium are declined, i.e., both yield strength and Young's modulus decreased, and the deformation law of the porous magnesium is accorded with the minimum resistance law of metals.
